Who is Kat Harrison?
Kat Harrison is an artist and educator originally from Berlin, Connecticut, now based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She holds a BFA from Alfred University’s School of Art and Design, where she also minored in Education and Art History, and earned a Master of Science in Teaching from Rochester Institute of Technology.
Harrison has worked at art facilities, residencies, and workshops across New York, Philadelphia, Massachusetts, and Connecticut. She spent several years as an artist’s assistant and an Associate Artist at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia.
Harrison’s artwork has been exhibited at The Clay Studio in Philadelphia, the New Britain Museum of American Art, the World’s Fair Exhibition at the Canton Museum of Art, and in various group shows in New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, Italy, and Australia. Her past research, which explored three-dimensional scanning, digital modeling, and rapid prototyping, was supported by the Alfred Undergraduate Research Grant.
With a passion for teaching at the high school level, Harrison considers that the major focus of her career thus far. She taught high school Digital Imaging and Design in Philadelphia, and was an art teacher at Webster High School in Rochester, NY. Most recently, she completed a short-term teaching position at Franklin High School in Franklin, WI. She has taught Studio in Art, Drawing 1, Painting 1, 3D Sculpture, Ceramics and Digital Art and Design.
Currently, Harrison is working on creating her dream studio and classroom in Milwaukee’s Historic Third Ward, where she plans to continue her ceramics and painting practice and offer creative workshops and private tutoring.

What type of classes will you be offering?
I’m excited to offer small group workshops with a cap of 12 participants per session. My first workshop will be a 2-hour ceramic handbuilding class, starting mid-March, with tickets available for $60.
Tentatively, I plan to host workshops on Tuesday evenings, Wednesday mornings, and Sunday afternoons.

Where is your studio located?
I am located in the Historic Third Ward in the Marshall Building located at 207 E. Buffalo St. on the second floor, Suite 207.
The Marshall Building is a commercial Space & Arts Hub located in The Heart Of Milwaukee's Historic Third Ward District. Thee are Home to boutiques, galleries, cafe’s and corporate offices. I am located a block from the Milwaukee Public Market, across the street from the Riverwalk & steps from everything else the vibrant Historic Third Ward District has to offer.

Where can I park?
The Third Ward offers ample metered street parking. There are also two parking structures in the area, both walking distance to the Marshall Building: the closest is on the corner of Water and Chicago Streets, with the entrance on Chicago Street. The second is on the corner of Milwaukee and Chicago Streets, with the entrance on Milwaukee Street.
If for some reason you're not able to find parking at any of these locations, the Chase Bank parking structure is also an option, which is on the corner of Water and Clybourn Streets, and the Italian Community Center (ICC) that offers daily parking and is located on Jackson Street – just south of Chicago Street.

When will the studio be opening for the public?
The short answer is March 2025! I plan to be in my studio M-Th 11AM - 3PM and by appointment (email me!)
Can I plan an event with you?
Of course! I’d be thrilled to host meetups, business team-building events, birthday parties, bachelor/bachelorette parties, or any small gathering! Navigate to the reservations tab on my website for available dates, choose the time, the number of attendees, and the project you'd like to create—I’ll handle the rest!
Please note that reservations must be made at least 3 weeks in advance and require a 50% non-refundable deposit. Price will vary depending on the project.

How can I purchase your ceramics or paintings?
Thank you so much for your interest! After a three-year hiatus spent focusing on teaching, I’m thrilled to finally dive back into painting and working with clay. I’ll be selling my creations both on Etsy and in person at my studio. My studio hours are Monday through Thursday, from 11 AM to 3 PM. If those times don’t work for you, just send me an email—I’d be happy to arrange a time that’s more convenient!
